Quick Start
- Go to Map, enter the first Fishing Zone, start doing some manual or auto fishing (auto has limit, but you should get some more through your daily quests so no worries).
- Your fishing should get you some materials and coins, and if you are lucky, might get some fish also.
- If you find Breeders, check them often to gather eggs for sale, this helps you to earn coins early on in the game.
- If you find Explorers, send them out to explore immediately, don't worry about it being stolen, Explorers cannot be stolen if owner's Fishing Level is below Lv10.
- Early on in the game, you might want to use your Tickets right away. Later in the game you might want to save them until your Lucky Wheel is more upgraded.
- Whenever you have enough materials, check and see if you have any facilities you can upgrade. Almost any upgrades will benefit you right away.
Tips from Dev
- Fishing is a great way to earn various materials and gems. Both your fishing skill and luck will influence how much loot you can find per successful attempt.
- But the main purpose of fishing is to catch explorer fish, as they can help gather loot for you and ultimately, this is the only way to obtain artifacts.
- Your fishing skill will have a chance of increasing at each successful fishing attempt. Though it gets harder to level up that way the higher your fishing skill.
- It is relatively easier to level up your fishing skill by upgrading your Fishing Boat.
- Depends on the fishing bait you use, it will influence the outcome.
- Worm bait has lower chance of getting explorer fish, and you cannot get Super Rare explorer fish with worm bait.
- Insect bait has a bit more chance of getting explorer fish, and you have very small chance of getting Super Rare explorer fish with insect bait.
- Minnow bait has best chance of getting explorer fish, and you have best chance to get Super Rare explorer fish with minnow bait.
- There is a small chance that you will be able to steal someone else's explorer fish while they're exploring. The chance is calculated through a complicated formula:
- Assuming you hit the chance of stealing someone's explorer. Your fishing skill will be compared against the owner of that fish. Your fishing skill divided by the sum of both of your fishing skills will determine your success factor. For example, your skill is 100, the other player's skill is 200, then it'll be 100 / (100 + 200) = 1/3 probability of success.
- Even if your attempt was successful, then the game will check the target explorer fish's evasion skill. The fish will have a chance to get away. For example, if evasion is 50, this means you have 50% chance of really stealing it.
- If you successfully took someone's fish, its exploration will terminate at that moment. All the loot up to that moment will be given to you as a reward. This means that it's possible that you don't get anything if that explorer only just started exploring.
- So it is wise to level up your fishing skill.
